Anne Peigowski
1918 - 2010
Anne Peigowski, formerly of Vienna, Ohio, 91, died on March 28, 2010 at Concord Health Care Center.
She was born on November 7, 1918, in Youngstown, the daughter of Theodore Peigowski and Yustina (Jenny) Wywiurka Peigowski Stanko.
Anne was a very talented seamstress and worked in New York City during WWII, later in Arizona, California, and Cleveland. After retiring form Weatherbee Coat Factory in Youngstown, Anne ran an alteration business from her home for many years. She was of the Protestant faith and had attended Bazetta Christian Church. Her hobbies included ceramics, leather crafted and porcelain dolls.
Survivors include her brother, Peter Peigowski (Sally), special sister-in-law June Peigowski, special-needs niece, Donna Rowold, who lived with Anne for more than 25 years, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Mike Stanko, brothers, Steve and Leo Peigowski, sister Mary Rowold, and nephew Jeffrey Rowold.
Calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, at Crown hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna, and funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 pm also at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum
Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park.
The family would like to thank all the staff of Concord Health Care Center for their kindness, care and concern for Anne was greatly appreciated.
