Ardis was born October 24, 1925 in Tyrone, PA, the daughter of Edgar C. and Laura E. (Clites) Kustenbauder.

Ardis was an employee of the Ravenna Arsenal and later at Warren General Hospital as a ward clerk, retiring in 1982.

She married Robert E. Ellenberger March 10, 1945. Robert died in October of 1999.

Ardis leaves behind a son, Gary of Austin, TX; two daughters, Sharell (Raymond) Dulin of Newton Falls and Karen Letner of Virginia Beach, VA; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Charles Kustenbauder, a sister, Jane Morrissey and a granddaughter, Jenifer Dulin preceded Ardis in death.

Visitation for Ardis will be held Thursday, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. Pastor John Eastman will officiate.

Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park.
