Arnold was born January 18, 1925, in Fowler, OH, the son of Thomas L. and Martha (Guesman) Meikle.

He was a 1942 graduate of Fowler High School and later served in the U.S. Navy .

Arnold worked as a pipefitter, retiring in 1987.

He was a member of the Fowler United Methodist Church and Local 225. He also attended Hartford Community Church.

Arnold married June Dilley Meikle on December 8, 1951.

Arnold enjoyed life. He loved his family and supported them in all their activities. He was an avid sports fan and an accomplished athlete. He was a respected baseball coach and followed the Cleveland sports teams. He enjoyed golf, fishing and being involved in the church. Arnold touched many lives, and our memories will be fondly cherished.

Arnold leaves behind his sons: Terry, of Findlay, OH and Gary (Kim) of Fowler; daughters, Diane of Fowler and Peggy (Jerry) Draa of Piedmont, OH; six grandchildren, Derek (Michelle) Meikle, Amy Draa, Sean (Amanda) Meikle, Kari (Jason) Crawford, Tara Meikle, Aaron (Lindsay) Meikle and eight great-grandchildren.

Brothers Thomas, Walter and Robert and sisters Marjorie, Marguerite and Ardale preceded Arnold in death.

Calling hours for Arnold will be held Saturday from 2 to 3 pm, with funeral services to follow at 3 pm, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. Pastor Gary Meikle and Pastor Mary Prior will officiate.

Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
