Betty M. Calhoun 1935 - 2011

Cortland- Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Selby-Simpson Funeral Home's Chapel Mausoleum, in Vienna for Betty M. Calhoun, age 75, of Cortland, who died early Sunday morning at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Betty was born May 9, 1935 in Dorothy, West Virginia to the late Harley and Pauline (White) Jarrell. She was a graduate of Clearfork High School. Betty was a member of the Morgandale Church of the Nazarene. She retired from K-mart after several years working as a Stock Clerk. Betty is survived by a daughter Patricia (Allan) Brooks of Andover, three sons, Scott Jr., of Cortland, Daniel (Mary Jo) of Warren and Jeffrey of Cortland, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister Nancy Johnson of Cortland, two brothers, Gary and Larry Jarrell both of Cortland. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Scott Winfield Calhoun whom she married November 25, 1955, he died September 7, 2008; a grandson David Allen Hall, four sisters, Beulah, Judy, Phyllis, and Carol, and a brother Ernest. Friends may call Thursday 5-8 p.m. and Friday morning 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home located at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
