Farmdale - Betty J. Partridge, 87, died Sunday evening, July 24, 2011 at Clare Bridge of Austintown .
Betty was born February 9, 1924 in Warren, the daughter of George and Mae (Bishop) Hawn.
She was a homemaker, was an avid seamstress and loved to crochet. Betty inspired and helped make 50 afghans for orphans in Africa.
She married her soul mate, Emerson A. Partridge, in August of 1943. He passed on May 7, 2006.
Betty leaves behind two daughters, Marguerite Dianne Ashmore of Utah and Janet (Jim) Stowers of Johnston Twp. Ohio; a sister Dolly Costas of Fla; and ten grandchildren, Robert, Yvonne Ashmore, Marty Ashmore, Shawn Ashmore, Roger Ashmore, Rachel Ashmore, Djuanna Sumsion, Donna Jean Deemer, Jimmy Stowers and Natalie Partridge; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Beside her husband of more than 60 years, Betty is preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Roger.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna, where Pastor William Carter will be officiating.
Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
