Sandusky - Carl L. Jobes, 95, died at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio, Friday, June 11, 2010.
Carl was born October 2, 1914 in Littleton, W.Va., the son of Grover Cleveland Alexander and Bertha (Church) Jobes.
Carl served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He retired from Warren Tool Co. in 1979 as a toolmaker.
Carl enjoyed reading westerns, doing yard work and visiting with friends.
Carl married Virginia Opal Anderson on August 13, 1941. Virginia died January 28, 2007.
Carl leaves behind a son, Charles (Susan) Jobes of Canton; three daughters, Carolyn (Thurman) Selman of Corsicana, TX, Mary Jo Ritchie and Sandra (Bud) Keener of Mount Vernon, OH.; two brothers, Harley Jobes of Canton, OH and Grover Jobes of Atlanta, GA.
Also surviving Carl are 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Preceding Carl in death are his parents and wife.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 12:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at 11:00 am, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.
