Warren - Cecil R. Helmick, 82, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Cecil was born January, 19, 1934 in Alexander, WV, the son of Clyde G. and Pearl (Long) Helmick.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Formerly of Buckhannon, WV, Cecil was employed at Copperweld Steel for 35 years, retiring as a foreman of the melt shop.

Cecil was a member of the Nagoya/Komaki Air Base, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing and collecting antiques and Native American art.

He leaves behind two sons, Timothy (Kathy) Helmick of Hartford and Brian (Kathleen) Helmick of Fowler; a daughter, Tracy (Bruce) Fisher of Orangeville; a sister, Hilda Fumerola of Clinton Twp., MI; four half brothers and one half sister; grandchildren, Jeramy (Amanda) of Cortland, Jamie of Warren, Chelsea of Fowler, and Amelia of Orangeville; and two great-grandchildren, Jeramy Jr. and Daniel, both of Cortland.
