Charles "Bud" A. Bowen 1930 - 2013

Cortland-Charles "Bud" Bowen passed away Tuesday morning at his home, he was 82 years old.

The son of Charles E. and Emily (Taylor) Bowen, Bud was born November 7, 1930 in Warren. He attend Howland Schools and went on to join the United States Army serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. On September 12, 1952 Bud married Lola (Brown) with whom he spent 60 wonderful years of marriage.

Bud worked as a tractor driver at Thomas Strip Steel for 44 years before his retirement in 1991.

He enjoyed working on equipment and could often be found fixing tractors, lawnmowers, cars, and semis. He was a member of the Masons and the VFW.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Lola and his son Douglas (Ronele) Bowen. He also leaves his granddaughters Lori and Charley, his great grandson Soren, and his nephew Don as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Friends and family may call from 11:00am-1:00pm Saturday at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel. A funeral service will take place immediately following at 1:00pm.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
