Connie Lee Emery was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Wednesday February 7 th , 2024. It was an honor and a privilege to care for such a wonderful woman, and a blessing to call her mom! Connie was born in Argentine, Pennsylvania on August 26th , 1939, to Lee and Vivian Young. Connie attended school at Moniteau High School, and graduated in 1957. She then worked as a laborer at Packard Electric for 40 years until her retirement in 1997. Connie was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church in Champion, Ohio, where she loved being a member. She loved spending time with family and friends, baking, embroidery, family vacations to the beach, bird watching, and especially her cat, "Kitty". Connie leaves behind, to cherish her memory; her daughter Michelle (Chris) Kelly of Jackson, Michigan; brothers Donald (Andrea) Young of Parker, Pennsylvania and Gary (Shirley) Young of Hilliards, Pennsylvania; and 2 grandchildren Sophia Epstein of Lansing, Michigan and Sawyer Epstein of Southfield, Michigan. She was also welcomed home by her parents; Lee and Vivian Young, and her sister Ethel Slaughenhoupt. Calling hours will be Friday February 16 th , 2024, from 12pm-1pm with services at 1pm-2pm, with entombment to follow at Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel and Mausoleum in Vienna, OH. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Baptist Church in Champion, OH or The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project in Brookfield, OH through their website at healthyheartsproject.org. We would also like to extend a special thanks to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice of Jackson, Michigan, and to her wonderful and dedicated caregiver, Teri Decacor. Services were entrusted to Selby T.J. Fox Funeral Home.
