Darleen E. Whitmore, 65, of Howland, passed away after a long illness. She was born January 10, 1949 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Daryl and Evelyn Crawford. Darleen was a 1967 graduate of Howland High School and was employed as an LPN with O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home.

Ms. Whitmore was a volunteer with the Red Cross. She enjoyed shopping, ceramics and collecting American Indian relics. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.

Darleen is survived by her daughter, Dawn M. Whitmore of Howland; grandchildren, Tristen (Tasha Darbey) Kaso of Howland, Derek (Kristy) Hollander of Hubbard, Shane Hollander of Liberty; Tiawna and Tahnee Whitmore both of home; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Paisley; son-in-law, Glenn Hollander; dear friend of Darleen, Janis Hollander; and her beloved dog, Chewy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Danette Hollander; and cousin, Donald Dimit.

Graveside services will be held, Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Crown Hill Burial Park, 3966 Warren-Sharon Rd., Vienna.
