Ocala - Edward E. Rubins, 88, formerly of Vienna, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Ocala, FL.
Edward was born October 29, 1926 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Edward M. and Mary C. (Barham) Rubins.
He was a 1945 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Edward married Nancy Gorog on August 24, 1963. She died on February 2, 2006.
He was the owner and operator of Elm Auto Supply, retiring in 1981, and was a former member of the Johnson V.F.W. and a Boy Scout Master.
Edward leaves behind two daughters, Lynnor (Kenneth) Goodwin of Ocala, FL, and Maralee Plant of Niles; five grandchildren, Robert Taylor, Rubin Plant, Vernon L. Plant III, Carolyn Plant and Benjamin Plant and five great-grandchildren.
His wife of over 40 years, Nancy Rubins and a sister, Alice Elizabeth Windsor Loveless preceded Edward in death.
There will be visitation for family and friends on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.
Selby Funeral Home, in Vienna, was entrusted with the arrangements.
