Eloise C. Garner
1925 - 2011
Eloise C. Garner, 86, of Cortland, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital from complications of dementia.
Born September 10,1925 in Cortland, Eloise was the daughter of Delma Milhoan and Emmett Cross and resided in Cortland most of her life.
A 1943 graduate of Bristolville High School, Eloise went to work at Ohio Lamp, later working at Sparkle Market in Cortland.
She married the love of her life, Robert Garner, on August 14, 1954.
Eloise enjoyed camping with the Good Sam Happy Travelers and Smoke Dodgers, was a member of the Four Seasons Garden Club, enjoyed playing cards, and traveling.
Her family was the joy of her life,and she will be deeply missed by her four children, Robert (Sue) Garner and Connie (Jack) Mills of Warren, Jamie (Tom) Hillier of Bazetta, and Cindy (Kevin) Granger of Reynoldsburg. Eloise had 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward J. Cross.
Private services will be held on Saturday, November 19, with burial at Crown Hill Burial Park
Selby Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
