Warren - Eugene J. Kusnir, 71, died Tuesday morning, July 31, 2012, at Briarfield at the Ridge.
Eugene was born December 30, 1940 in Sharon, PA, the son of John and Pauline (Siminich) Kusnir.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of Youngstown State University.
Eugene retired, after 30 years of employment, as a general foreman from Packard Electric in 1992.
He was an active Volunteer with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs in Warren, a member of the ITAM #30, the Vienna AMVETS, and the Polish Legion of American Veterans. Eugene was an avid golfer and a member of the Avalon Golf Course.
Eugene leaves behind his daughters, Julie Ann Kusnir of Warren and Holly Jsan Johns of Columbia, SC; his brother, John R. Kusnir of Brookfield; and his sister, Jacquelyn Miller of Columbia, SC. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, especially Alicia and Dustin Kusnir and their mother, Linda Kusnir.
Eugene's parents and his sister, Carol Benic preceded him in death.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. The funeral mass will be at 10:30 AM, Friday at St. James Catholic Church, 2532 Burton St. SE, Warren, OH.
After the mass, there will be a procession to Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna for a committal service.
