Middleburg Heights-Frank Pinky Kolacz passed away Tuesday at his home he was 92 years old.

The son of Joseph and Katherine Kolacz, he was born July 4, 1920 in Beyer, PA. Following his graduation from Warren G. Harding High School, he joined the United States Navy and served his country during WWII. After leaving the Navy he went on to work as a brakeman for Penn Central Railroad Co. and later Conrail, for almost 30 years before his retirement in 1980.

He helped start the PV Club in Niles and was a former member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Frank was an avid sports fan who loved baseball and helped do fundraising for Niles Thunder Softball Team. He also enjoyed stamp and coin collecting. He loved animals especially his dog Molly. Above all he loved his family and the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his two daughters Ramona Kolacz and Mary Kay (Mike) Pachla. He also leaves behind his two grandchildren Dylan Marie Pachla and Michael James Pachla Jr.; his brothers Donald and Henry Kolacz and his sister Stephanie Sersich.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, his parents and his three brothers John Kolacz, Stanley Kolacz, and Walter Kolacz.

Friends may call from 5-7:00PM Friday June 14, 2013 at Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday June 15 at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
