George "Vern" Martin, 84, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 17, 2025. He was born on January 26, 1941 in Washington, PA, a son of Delmar and Mable (DeWitt) Martin. Vern was a graduate of Bristolville High School and selflessly served in the United States Army. He married his wife, Marlene on December 13, 1980; they spent 41 wonderful years together until her passing on October 2, 2021. Vern was a funny man with some of the corniest jokes you would ever hear. He absolutely loved fishing, him and his late grandson Jeremey loved to get out and fish together. He loved his shows like Everybody Loves Raymond and The Waltons. He enjoyed watching the Browns play football and old Westerns. He spent his Sundays watching the Gaither Vocal Band. Vern will be missed dearly by his daughters Gina (Casper) Quintanilla of TX, Christine (Kevin ) Hatten of AR., Belinda Collier of OH; grandchildren Christopher, Joshua and Lauren Quintanilla, Erica Campos, Anthony, Zachary and Nicholas Blok. 13 great-grandchildren; sister Kathy (Bob) Pinti and brothers Larry (Linda) Martin and Kenny (Debbie) Martin. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, a son Mike, a grandson Jeremey and 2 sisters Evelyn and Lee. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11am with the Funeral beginning at 12pm and burial to follow at Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel and Mausoleum. Services were entrusted to Selby Funeral Home.
