Warren - Helen Katana, 97, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Just Like Home Assisted Living in Warren.
Helen was born January 23, 1918, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Adelle (Wisenski) Zaliski.
She was a 25 year employee of Packard Electric, retiring in 1984.
Helen married Eli Katana in 1944. He passed away February 22, 1989.
She was a fabulous baker, gardener and canner. Helen had a great sense of humor and loved her family dearly.
Helen leaves behind her son, Gary (Christiann) Katana of Belle Mead, NJ; her daughter, Linda (Bernard) Katana-Shusman of New York City, NY; a sister, Betty Kunka of Warren; and grandchildren, Ryan Katana and Alexis Katana of New York City, NY.
Visitation for Helen will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, with the funeral service at 2:00 PM, Sunday, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.
Entombment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff of Just Like Home Assisted Living and Harbor Light Hospice.
