John H. Ramsey 1941 - 2013

Vienna - John H. Ramsey, 72, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital after an extended illness with his family at his side.

John was born on August 18, 1941 in Winona W.Va., the son of Niles and Goldie Ramsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Hazel Hall and three brothers, Eugene, Thomas and Ronald.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris, whom he married February 15, 1962; a sister, Eloise (Bill) Myles; brothers, James (Myrtle), Jack and Bernard (Helen) Ramsey; his children, Jonna (Jim) Tait of Illinois, Donna Ramsey of Vienna and John Ramsey Jr. of Fowler; grandchildren, Brett (Regina) Ramsey, Amber Ramsey, Adam Tait, John Tait, John Ramsey III and Lillian Ramsey; a step-granddaughter, Brittney Powell; great grandchildren, Evan and Kayden Ramsey, Rilee Paddock and Ruby Ramsey; two step-great-grandchildren, Brennan and Tegan Barnard.

John will be sadly missed by his niece, Rose Ferry, whom he loved like a daughter, and her children, Kayla, Kyle and Connor and his extended family, Trena (Darron) Barnard and many nieces and nephews.

John was a retired welder and union laborer for Local 125.

He loved hunting and spending time with his family.

Family and friends may come to a remembrance gathering on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna, Ohio.
