Masury –John (Jack) Wagner, 78, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Northside Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on June 12, 1938 in Youngstown, OH, the son of Joseph A. Wagner and Sarah V. Drapcho Wagner.
He served in the United States Army as a Medical Corp Specialist and was a member of the V.F.W.
John was employed for 33 years as a tool room operator with Hynes Steel in Austintown and retired in 1997. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He especially loved spending time with his children, grand-children and great grand-children.
He and his wife, Patricia (Patti) were married on November 20, 1965. Together they had three daughters, Debra (Mark, Sr.) DeSabato, Linda (James) Bridge, and Ami (Greg) Curtin. He also leaves behind sisters, Rose Lucarell, Rita (Tony) Noday, Patty (Dan) Napolitan, Kathy (Tom) Malone. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, David (Lindsay) Logan, Mark DeSabato, Jr., Joshua Bridge, Amanda (Mike) Friend, Ashley (Phil) Clark, Bradley Bridge and Andy Curtin, and two great-grandchildren, Willow Logan and Konner Clark. Two siblings preceded him in death, Jerome Wagner and Sara Makosky.
Calling hours will be Thursday, October 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Vienna, OH. Funeral Service will be Friday at the Chapel, October 14 at 1:00 PM with viewing one hour prior to the service.
