LeRoy Brown Jr. 1926 - 2013

CORTLAND - LeRoy Brown Jr., 86, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.

LeRoy was born April 23, 1926, in New Castle, Pa., the son of LeRoy and Cynthia Kitchin Brown.

He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding School and later served in the U.S. Navy. He was a ticket agent for United Airlines, retiring in 1984 after 28 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Warren.

LeRoy enjoyed antique cars and was a member of the Antique Car Club. He restored a 1940 Buick. He also had an interest in airplanes and loved to travel.

LeRoy married Marilyn Jones Brown May 20, 1950. After 58 years of marriage, Marilyn passed away in May 2008.

He leaves behind two sons, Dennis and Dean Brown, and a grandchild, Nicole Brown.

Besides his wife, his parents and a son, David, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, with a funeral service at 3 p.m. at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. Pastor Rusty Cowden will officiate.

Inurnment will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
