Vienna - Louise M. DeRubba, 91, formerly of Vienna, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Briarfield at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge.
Louise was born October 25, 1918, in Girard, the daughter of John and Nancy (Callard) DeRubba.
She graduated from Vienna High School, Class of 1936 of which she was the Class President. She also graduated from Youngstown Business School.
Louise retired from General Electric as an Office Manager after 30 years of service. After retirement, she worked in the bakery at Giant Eagle in Howland for 10 years.
Louise was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and volunteered for many of the activities of the church.
Louise is survived by her sister, Christine Nelson of Vienna and a brother John DeRubba of Colorado.
"Aunt Lou" also leaves a multitude of nieces and nephews with loving and cherished memories. These included countless vacations, picnics, swimming and adventures. She was known for her endless supply of food, drink and fun! The entire family used her as a sounding board and support in the trials and tribulations of life.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Anthony DeRubba.
Calling hours will be held at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna, on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Wednesday March 31st. Prayer services will be held at the Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum at 9:30 am Wednesday.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Briarfield at the Ridge for their love and excellent care and being Louise's other family for the past 5 years.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Oh.
