Margaret E. Askey 1921 - 2012

Warren--Margaret Elizabeth Askey,91, of Warren passed away peacefully Monday January 7, 2013 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.

The daughter of Byron and Lucille (O'Conner) Burtless, Margaret was born November 21, 1921 in Geneva, NY. On December 8, 1945 she married John Askey with whom she spent 60 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2005.

She worked as a bus driver for Howland Schools, and enjoyed her time spent with the children as she took them to and from the school. She was an avid bowler and played in leagues with her husband for many years. She was also active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Champion, and enjoyed researching genealogy for the church.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her two sons Darrell (Lynea) Askey of St. George, Utah and Doug (Elaine) Askey of Lordstown, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband John.

Friends and family may call from 4:30-6:00pm Friday January 11, 2012 at the Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel. A funeral service will take place at 6:00pm Friday immediately after the visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Margaret's name to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
