1934 – 2016
Southington – Mary F. Carr, 82, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at the Windsor House in Champion, OH. Mary was born October 21, 1934 in Confluence, PA to William M. Lohr and Helen L. Tressler Lohr.
She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Class of 1952. Mary was employed by River Pines Resort in Parkman, OH as an office clerk and was a member of the Southington Christian Church.
She enjoyed Stephen King novels, her plants and traveling on day trips. She listened to Audio books and would never turn down a chocolate bar. She watched old movies and especially loved going to church. Her strong faith was evident in her day to day life. She had a kind word for everyone. Her relationship with her family was most important to her, being considered the best friend that her children could have. The great love she had for her children included the joy she shared with their children's children. Family was everything to her.
Mary married Robert J. (Bud) Carr on December 31, 1952 and they remained together until his death on October 12, 1981.
She leaves seven children behind to cherish her memory. Surviving are Frances (Jack) Rex, Sylvia (Billy) Jackson, Ellen (Robert) Harclerode, Robert (Heidi) Carr, Martha Molnar, Barbara Humphreys and James (Marilyn) Carr, twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Saturday, November 19. There will be one hour of viewing from 10 am until 11 am. Pastor Randall Riley will be officiating the funeral service at 11 o'clock.
