Obituary

Matthew Manley, 96, of Howland, passed away at home from heart failure on Monday May 12, 2024.

Matthew was born in Buckhannon, West Virginia on December 28, 1927. A son of the late Harold and Bessie Manley.

A World War II veteran, Matt worked for Packard Electric and then retired from Warren Engineering.

He was an active member of the Howland Scope Center and enjoyed playing Bocce and Cornhole in his spare time. He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, camping at Geneva and Clear Creek, working at Randy's BP, but more than anything, He loved spending time with his family.

Matthew will be dearly missed by his daughter Debbie (Doug) "Shallop", his sons; Randy (Debra) Manley and Scott (Dawn) Manley. Six Grandchildren; Mike, Matt, Cassie, Doug, Christen and Nicole and five great-grandchildren; Roxy, Dean, Cooper, Corinne and Madeline.

He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, whom he spent 70 wonderful years with.

Calling hours will take place on Friday May 24, 2024, from 2pm to 3pm with services to follow from 3pm-4pm at Crown Hill Chapel and Mausoleum in Vienna Ohio.

Services were entrusted to Selby Barbee Funeral Home.
