Warren - Merie A. Vassis, 87, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.

Merie was born December 20, 1929 in Youngstown, the daughter of Lawrence and Mabel (Hooper) Bradshaw.

She retired from Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland.

Merie married George Vassis in 1950. He passed away in January of 1975.

She leaves behind a son, Ken (Mary) Vassis of Vienna; daughters, Karen (John) Gintert of Longmont, CO, Barb Vassis of Longmont, CO and Janet Vassis of Brookfield. Brothers, John (Donenel) Bradshaw of Columbus, OH and Dale (Mary) Bradshaw of Canfield; sister, June (Gene) Osborne of Mesa, AZ. Merie also leaves behind eight grandchildren.

Private services were held at Crown Hill's Chapel Mausoleum, by Selby-T. J. Fox Funeral Home in Vienna.
