Pittsburgh - Michael Steven Cassidy passed away on November 25, 2017. He was born August 9, 1967 in Warren, OH to John H. and Melody M. Walters Cassidy. After an eight week battle with cancer, Mike passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side due to complications from chemotherapy.
Mike started working, pushing a broom, at Sanzenbacher Dodge as a teenager. He ended his career as a Parts & Service Director at Monroeville Chrysler-Jeep with a lifelong love for MOPAR. He was Chrysler Certified for over two decades.
He married the love of his life, Nicole Pappas on November 24, 1993. For twenty four years they enjoyed raising and spoiling their children and grandchildren. Mike and Nicole loved spending their quality time together exploring the back roads of PA.
Mike was a sports enthusiast with a love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He especially enjoyed attending the games with his family, and the time he had with his son Michael while golfing. Some of his favorite vacations were with his family at sunny beaches.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind his four children; Michael S. Cassidy II, Alicia (Rick) Dye, Jessica Pappas and Kaitlynne Cassidy. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Sophia and Vivian Dye and Keeley Brister and his brother, Douglas (Chris) Cassidy. Preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents, Aunt, Uncle and Father-in-Law.
Calling hours are being held Wednesday November 29 from 5pm to 7pm at the Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Vienna, OH. Additional visitation will be from 10am to 11am on Thursday November 30, with the funeral service at 11:00. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Burial Park.
Services have been entrusted to the Selby– T. J. Fox Funeral home.
