Norbert E. Noss 1929 - 2012
Hubbard - Norbert E. (Dutch) Noss, 82, died peacefully in the Lord Wednesday morning, January 18, 2012.
Mr. Noss was born October 17, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Eric and Margaret (Meilke) Noss.
A graduate of Liberty High School, he served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict on the USS Kermit Roosevelt.
Mr. Noss was a life-long sheet metal worker. He was a member of the local sheet metal workers' unions in Salt Lake City and Youngstown, as well as the local VFW.
He married Vera L. Barnett, January 1, 1955. She passed away September 9, 1988.
A hardworking father, Mr. Noss leaves behind two daughters, Amy A. (Matthew) Connelly of Liberty and Gretchen A. (David) Schinkel of North Huntington, PA; a son, Brian E. Noss of Hemet, CA; a loyal friend JR Summers, of Hubbard; siblings Loretta, Elaine, and Jack; he also leaves behind nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Although a man of few words, he often expressed how proud he was to be their grandfather .
A daughter, Debra G. Frost, a sister Dolores and his wife Vera preceded him in death.
In honor of Dutch's wishes, there was no visitation or service. He wanted his passing to be quiet and simple, which was the same manner in which he lived his life.
