Warren - Raleigh Evans Edwards, 77, died Tuesday afternoon, January 4, 2011, at Imperial Skilled Care Center in Warren.
Raleigh was born January 5, 1933 in Ravenna, OH, the son of the late Thomas and Elva (Stowe) Edwards.
Raleigh was raised in Freedom, Ohio and later lived in Mantua, Garrettsville and Warren.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Raleigh is survived by his son, Michael (Eileen) Edwards of Ravenna; a daughter, Shelly Edwards of Fairfax, VA; granddaughters, Joanna (Nathaniel) Beres of Copley and Mallory (Brett) Capstick of Clarksville, TN; sisters, June Dalton of Garrettsville and Martha Adams of Brimfield, OH.
Raleigh was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harris, Dale, and Larry; and sisters, Ruth Raskov and Juanita Horner.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 7, from 6 to 8pm at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum , 3966 Warren-Sharon Rd. Vienna, OH. 44473.
A private funeral service will held.
Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
