Robert Dee Lines 1941 - 2013

Robert "Bob" Dee Lines of Cortland passed away peacefully early Thursday morning at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, he was 71 years old.

The son of Homer and Maude (Woods) Lines, he was born April 30, 1941 in DuBois, Pa.. On November 7, 1964 he married Doris (Nimmo) in DuBois PA. The couple enjoyed 48 wonderful years of marriage before his passing.

Bob was a 1959 graduate of DuBois High School and went on to attend Penn State University, wherein 1964 he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business. After college he served his country in the United States Army Reserve until his discharge in 1971. Bob was an accountant and worked for 37 years at General Motors before his retirement in 2000. He was also a member of the Cortland United Methodist Church.

He was a kind man who enjoyed spending time on his computer, woodworking and reading. He was an avid fan of Penn State football and liked to watch the Browns and the Indians play. Above all he loved his family and the time he shared with them especially his granddaughters.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Doris, his three children Robert Lines Jr. of Warren, Jennifer (Jeff) Fleischer of Cortland and Melissa Lines of Hinckley. He is also survived by his two granddaughters Paige and Payton Fleischer, his brother Lynn Lines and his two sisters Linda Lutz and Phyllis Gilbert.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers Bill and Tim Lines, and his sister Jean Snedden.

Friends may call from 12:00-1:00pm Monday February 11, 2013 at Crown Hill Chapel Mauselum at 3966 Warren-Sharon Rd. Vienna, Ohio 44473. A service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 1:00pm at the chapel with Pastor Dave Vensel officiating.

Arrangements were handled by Selby Funeral Home.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Roberts name to the American Cancer Society.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
