1944 - 2015

Howland - Shirley M. Ambrose, 71, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the Cleveland Clinic, after a long illness while waiting for a liver transplant.

Shirley was born April 15, 1944 in Somerset, PA, the daughter of Charles and Stella (Tinky) Judy.

A graduate of Niles High School, Shirley was employed at Kings Jewelers at the Eastwood Mall, retiring after 30 years in sales.

Shirley married Carl Denny in 1990.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She leaves behind two daughters, Joleen Beach of Niles and Valeria (Brian) Siler of Mineral Ridge; a step-daughter, Autumn Ambrose of Leesburg, VA; sisters, Lou Romsberg of FL and Nancy Anthony of Warren. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Rachael Hudak of SC and Kiersten Siler of Mineral Ridge.

A brother, Melvin Judy, and sister, Pat Lawrence, preceded Shirley in death.

Visitation for Shirley will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 pm, with the memorial service to begin at 6 pm, at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna. Pastor Cathy Ake will officiate.
