Shirley M. Leecue
1934 - 2014
Warren - Shirley Mae Leecue, 79, of Warren passed way Friday, January 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born July 19, 1934 in Warren the daughter of the late Clifford and Estelle Mauger.
She was a 1953 graduate of Warren G. Harding and was employed with Packard Electric after graduation. Shirley then became a sales associate with the Longaberger Basket Co. and retired from Sears after 25 years of service.
On February 11, 1956 Shirley was united in marriage with Charles H. Leecue and together they shared 57 beautiful years of marriage.
Mrs. Leecue was a member of St. Roberts Church in Cortland and was a volunteer at the soup kitchen. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, card clubs, bus trips and most of all loved her family and friends.
Loving memories of Shirley are held by her husband, Charles H. Leecue; a son, Greg (Lori) Leecue of Howland; a daughter, Lori Carpenter of Howland. She cherished her four grandchildren, Kristin Carpenter, Benjamin (Zoe) Carpenter and Brendan and Connor Leecue. She is also survived by a sister Joyce (Robert) Anderson of Warren; and a brother, Jerry (Thomasine) Mauger of Cortland.
Per the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation and burial of ashes will be held at Crown Hill Burial Park and Mausoleum. A private family gathering will take place to celebrate her "Love of Life."
