Velma J. White 1926 - 2013

Warren-Velma White, 86, passed away Monday evening at White Oak Manor in Warren. The daughter of Paul and Julia (Planko) Oravetz she was born October 21, 1926 in Warren. A lifelong resident of Warren she was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, and worked for GE. On October 19, 1946 she married Harry E. White Jr. with whom she spent 59 years of marriage before his passing in 2005.

Velma enjoyed the simple pleasures in life often sewing, crocheting and could often be found helping out her neighbors.

She will be sadly missed by her friend Susan Wilburn, her sister Betty Snell and her several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, her 3 brothers and her 6 sisters.

Friends may call from 11-12:00pm Friday at Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel. A funeral service will take place immediately following at 12:00pm.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
