William Frank Dorazio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his home.
He was born on March 18, 1950 in Leavittsburg, Ohio to Joseph A. and Ruby M. (Miller) Dorazio. Bill graduated from Leavittsburg High School Class of 1968 and enlisted in the United States Navy where he was honorably discharged in 1972. He received his bachelor's degree in Education from Youngstown State University. After receiving his degree he was employed with Farmington School from 1977 until 1984, where he served as the high school J.V. and Varsity volleyball coach. Bill retired from Maplewood Schools in 2005 after 24 years of service. While with Maplewood he served as the J.V. and Varsity volleyball coach as well. He compiled a career win-loss record with the junior varsity squad of 190-121 and the varsity squad of 429-144.
Mr. Dorazio enjoyed numerous trips to Las Vegas and also spending time with his family. He is survived by his brothers, Joseph Dorazio and Gary (Darcy) Dorazio, Sr., both of Leavittsburg; sister, Ethel Rose (Dave) Horner of Lordstown; niece, Megan Dorazio; nephew, Gary Dorazio, Jr.; and a great-nephew, Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, June 20, 2014 at 12:00 noon, at Crown Hill Burial Park and Mausoleum Chapel, 3966 Warren-Sharon Rd., Vienna, with Rev. Rodney Winyard, of First Community Church of Leavittsburg, officiating. Family will receive friends at the mausoleum chapel on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at noon.
