Vienna - William R. Wooten, 79, of Vienna, died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Campus Health Care in Liberty Twp.
Mr. Wooten was born October 3, 1934 in Youngstown, the son of George and Julia (Bishop) Wooten.
He worked as a roofer for 50 years, retiring in 1990.
William's first marriage, to Aurelia Hannis, was on March 2, 1957.
His partner of 35 years, Jean Augustinsky, died in February of 2012.
William enjoyed building cars and going to car shows. He was a big fan of NASCAR and he loved to play botchy and just being with his family and friends.
He leaves behind four daughters, Georgia Silver, of Youngstown, Carol Schofield of Boardman, Patty Johnson of Rock Hill, SC, and Marcy Dickey of Youngstown; 11 grandchildren, Denise Green, Angela Cochran, Darlene Schofield, Stephanie Dickey, John Dickey, Billy Johnson, Bobby Dickey, Jr., Shonene Dickey, Holly Harkleroad, April Silver and Carly Silver; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A son, Robert Dickey, a grandson, Kevin P. Silver, Jr. and his partner of 35 years, Jean Augustinsky preceded William in death.
Calling hours for William will be Friday, from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 11 am, with the funeral service to begin at 11 am at the Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna,
