JOSEPHINE M. HARDIN
1934-2019
WARREN - Josephine M. Hardin, 84, passed away Monday, February 4th, 2019 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.
She had previously made her home at Clearview Lantern Assisted Living in Champion. Josephine was born Sunday, April 1st, 1934 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph Prox and Elizabeth (Brek) Prox.
Josephine graduated from Warren G. Harding high school in 1952. After graduation, she began a 27 year employment as an administrative assistant with Power Strut. She then went on to work for MetLife until her retirement.
In 1974 Josephine married Arthur E. Hardin. Arthur preceded her in death on December 29th, 2004.
Josephine loved her family and was an avid sports fan. She cheered for the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and any team her grandkids played on. Josephine loved ballroom dancing, outdoor activities, being close to the water and traveling. She always put a smile on everyone’s face.
Josephine was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Beta Sigma Phi and Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity Inc.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Ed Foy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Russell (Susan) Hardin of Howland and Carol (David) Weber of Las Vegas, Nevada. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren; Christine (Brett) Sanderson of Leavittsburg, Joshua (Diana) Hardin of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dorita Dillon of Evansville, Indiana, Perry (Jessica) Booze of Las Vegas, Nevada, Shaun (Sasha) Hardin of Columbus, Ohio, and Rachel Hardin of Columbus, Ohio, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Joseph (Cherie) Prox of Niles. Five siblings preceded her in death.
Calling hours will be Friday, February 8th, 2019 from 4PM to 6PM at Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna, Ohio. Services have been entrusted to Selby– T.J. Fox Funeral Home Vienna, Ohio
